MESSAGE OF
HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS SULTAN AZLAN SHAH
SULTAN OF PERAK DARUL RIDZUAN

For several years, before and after Merdeka, members of the Bar and of the judicial and Legal Service in Malaysia, studied law in England, and were admitted as Barristers to one of the four Inns of Court. Many, including myself and my two children, were from Lincoln's Inn. Consequently, there has always been a strong bond between all branches of the legal profession in this country and Lincoln's Inn. Today, out of a Bar of about 10,000, more than 1400 members are from Lincoln's Inn. The formation of an Association of the Lincoln's Inn Alumni in Malaysia is therefore timely. It is my earnest hope that the Association will carry on the traditions that the Inn has maintained for six centuries.
I congratulate all members of the Inn who have strived to form this Alumni Association.
